Ed Maher posted First “old side” units went on line around 1922. Nine chain grate boilers and three 15 MW turbines. Last unit on “new side” went on line circa 1946. Three 60MW turbines, six CE boilers and one Riley front fire boiler, all with Raymond bowl mill pulverizers. Near Terre Haute, Indiana. |

It was served by a Pennsylvania spur. Note the icon for the coal mine tipple. Originally, coal went directly from that mine to the plant using a conveyor belt. [indstate]

I switched to a larger scale to see how that Pannsy spur connected to the mainline.

An undated document states: "Dresser Station has a capacity of 60,000 kilowatts furnished by three 1 stage turb-generators. The main units were manufactured by the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company and operate at a steam pressure of 350 pounds per square inch with the steam temperature at 650 degrees Fahrenheit. Steam to the turbines is furnished by eight large Babcock and Bilcox boilers which generate 100,000 pounds of steam per hour each. All boilers are stoker fired with forced draft supplied by motor driven fans."
