| Chicago & North Western Historical Society posted Ashton still lives! Here we see a Chicago bound train passing the C&NW's community depot at Ashton, Illinois some time about 1911. Ashton is located to the west of Rochelle. Illinois on the one time C&NW mail line to Clinton, Iowa. Those were the days! |

The second is a Richard Wallin photo from 1956 while the third is another Wallin shot from 1954. Ashton is a station stop on the Chicago-Council Bluffs main line to the west of Rochelle.
