Boston, MA: New Haven (NYNH&H) Roundhouse and Railyard

(Satellite, (Google Maps won't allow me to drop a pin accurately) The land has been repurposed for a engine servicing facility.)

In 1938, it had two roundhouses. (The aerial photo is on a slight angle.) [AR1F00000080010]

By 1955, only part of the northern roundhouse was still standing. (This aerial photo is on a slight angle.) [AR1VKF000010019]

The South Station is in the southwest quadrant of Summer St. and Fort Point Channel. I included the land to the east because of all of the railroad action. The roundhouse was west of the end of Orton Marotta Way.

John Sheridan: The roundhouse would be the Dover st. Roundhouse I believe.
