Humbolt is one of those towns along I-57 that does not have an exit. The grain elevator is no longer rail served. It appears that by 1938 the depot had been replaced by a newer one built on the west side of the tracks. I can't figure out what building stood where we now see the remnants of a concrete floor. The old wooden grain elevator was still standing in 1938.
Commercial Street did have business buildings along it in 1938. Scanning a satellite image of the town, I could not find a gas station.
