Cape Girardeau, MO:Flood of 2019: BNSF River Sub, former Frisco

(Satellite, these farm fields became a lake that covered the tracks.)

I've read that Norfolk Southern also can't cross the Mississippi at Hannibal, MO on their former Wabash route.

Michael Kerner Michael Savage this area where they cross a farm field has never dried out all year.

This town is no stranger to floods. The bottom of the firebox in a steam locomotive is higher than the traction motors in a diesel locomotive.

The flood walls look pretty high.

Back when the tracks did street running, I wonder how far up the hill they were. Now they are down the hill by the flood wall.
