This was a Gano-Horace or DesMarteu elevator that George Gano built after he sold Gano Grain to Bunge Corp. His elevators had large bulk scales capable of providing official weights acceptable to the railroads and elevators they were shipping their grain to. This necessitated the tall headhouse, uncommon for country elevators but common for terminals.
