| Duane Wurst posted Another Bay Port image. Here is the Wallage and Morely Bay Port Grain Elevator. The original elevator was built in the late 1800s, when the railroad came into Bay Port. Then, the fish companies were shipping tons of fish out. When Wallage and Morely came into Bay Port, the purchased the General store from Leiken and the Grain Elevator. Soon they also owned several grain elevators alone with the quarrry in Bay Port. The image here was taken some time in early 1950s. Be sure to go to Amazon and search for Books by Duane Wurst. I confirmed that the C&O railroad was originally Pere Marquette.
