Steve Barry posted five photos with the comment: "On the way back from the big railroad event in Spencer, N.C., I swung into Winston-Salem, N.C., to check out the shell Shell gas station. The shell was built in 1930, one of eight in the area and the only survivor. It is now officially preserved; the pumps are not original to the station, but are of the type the station had originally. The carport/open air repair area/car wash to the left of the shell is also part of the property."
