Flint Hill Resources in Shell Rock has 2mb of storage and is going to build a ground pile that will add 2.4mb. The pile will have a dedicated receiving pit to shorten wait times for the truckers during the harvest season. (

Flint Hills Resources is one of the Koch brothers oil companies that were suggested as possible buyers for two big ADM dry-process plants. (
ADM wants to sell some ethanol assets)
The town was served by the Rock Island, so I don't know who owns the railroad now.
While looking for this plant, I found an elevator that is building a ground pile facility. What struck me as strange is that it has no rail service and yet it does not look like a local feed
mill operation.
