Lima, OH: Pennsy Depot

(3D Satellite) The label on Google Maps says Panhandle. That is wrong. This is Pennsy's Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago. Pennsy's Panhandle is further south.

Looking down Conrail's ex-PRR Fort Wayne Line at NS Tower and the junction with CSX's ex-B&O Toledo Subdivision in Lima, Ohio - August 3, 1991. The tower was torn down in 1999 but the depot remains.
Jon Bentz: It's hard to believe that PRR T1's and Q2's used to charge through here.

Former PRR, now CR station and "NS" Tower, Lima, Ohio.  9-12-87
William Hofrichter: Worked that tower in PennCentral days from 1973-75. Second shift has 4 first class trains plus heavy traffic north-south. Probably 75-85 moves in 8 hour shift-loved working it!

The Pennsy train station now converted to a municipal utility office. I watched the Broadway Limited stop here early evening nearly 50 years ago.
