Back from December '23
Down in Latham, Il.
Along the Cn / IC track.
I would have got the track side but too many many bushes growing there.

The elevator has grown to be one of the biggest I've seen that doesn't have rail service.
Google Maps doesn't provide a name for the elevator. According to a Goggle search, it is one of the five locations for
Farmers Grain Co. of Central Illinois.
In addition to the wood elevator, the elevator's history includes bolted-steel, slip-form and jump-form silos.
And the history continues with various sizes of grain bins.
Including some rather small ones.
It is easy to spot the depot just west of Macon Street on the north side of the tracks because of the block-long platform by the tracks. As is common with small towns, the town grew mostly on the side of the tracks that had the depot. That left land for the grain elevator to grow.
