Jeff Ramsey posted The Denver & Rio Grande Railroad roundhouse in Pueblo just before the Arkansas River flood of 1921. The roundhouse and machine shop was built in 1906. Colorado’s only roundhouse that was nearly a full circle at 49 stalls. Jeff Ramsey shared |

Dennis DeBruler commented on Jeff's share You can see how some of the stalls were longer than others. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QzEiBCPtxXEeAFCY7 |

Tim Starr posted There have been several posts of the fourth (final) D&RGW roundhouse at Pueblo. As far as I know, this is the only picture of the second roundhouse, made of wood. I just happened to come across it in a magazine from 1904, which states this picture dates to 1879. It also says the building labeled "3" is the old union depot, but I believe it is actually the old D&RGW depot, not the first union station that was located off South Main Street (the second union station that stands today is two blocks west of the first union station). |
