Burlington Junction Denrock Illinois Postcard Railroad Station
Denrock was the junction point on the line from Galesburg to Savanna with a branch line to Earlville and a second one to Mendota. It looks like they had a neat depot there and a large coaling station. |
There is nothing there now. There wasn't much left in 1939.

Richard Hammer: Andy, are you sure it was a passenger depot? I kinda thought Derock was more of a track junction not near a town, although I be wrong. Larry Candilas: Tt definitely was a depot but your right; there is no town named Denrock - its juuust a railroad name. They needed a depot for passengers transferring between the three different lines that met there. 1 - Barstow Sub 2 - Agnew & Denrock Sub 3 - Mendota & Denrock Sub |
