David Erickson posted Cluster of gorgeous elevators in Harvey, North Dakota. Harvey came to be in 1893 and was named after the director of the Soo Line Railroad, Col. Scott William Harvey. The town was set up to be a division point for the Soo Line. I haven't seen a more stunning set of corrugated metal clad, wooden buildings! Birds sure like it too. Dennis DeBruler I'll say birds like it. Google Maps labels it "The Arthur Companies - Harvey Bird Food." |

Dennis DeBruler commented on David's post The feed mill down the road also has some nicely maintained wood elevators. |
By today's standards, the railyard is relatively active. I spotted a couple of locomotives in the yard.

There were some big cuts of cars in town during this visit of the street view car. Lots of different views 7th Street have freight cars in them.

As I suspected, there was a roundhouse in the wedged-shaped land at the east end of the railyard.
