The yellow stripe across the top is from the 1921 Vermont Quadrangle. It doesn't have the new route. The reddish part is from the 1926 Beardstown Quadrangle. It does have the new route. So the new route was built between 1921 and 1926. (Both topo maps have a scale of 1:62,500.)
