If you are here because of "Gilman, IL: Cargill Grain Elevator," then you need to go to there.

Gresham, WisconsinSOO Line
Jim Kelling shared with the comment: "Gresham Wisconsin (Soo Line depot)."
The depot opened in 1907 for the Wisconsin Northern, and was sold to the SOO in 1921. It closed in 1963 and was moved in 1974. https://www.shawanohistory.org/gresham-depot-museum/

Dennis DeBruler commented on Jim's share I had trouble finding the building because I was looking along the railroad RoW. Some topo maps and the old photo shows that the depot was here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eeXfPybFUMw3ZJcFA. I then determined that the building was moved about a block further North, https://maps.app.goo.gl/fPWJcfM4kfLqfPqk8. I confirmed the original location of the depot using this 1958 photo. |
This topo map also shows the siding that we see in the old photo above.

While looking for the depot, I found a feed store with its original wood grain elevator.
