I have enough notes written about Rockford's railroads thst the following post motivated me to write this overview.

if you had the about 160 feet by 180 feet you could do a N scale of Rockford IL great from continuous and point to point running

Yellow IC

Green CNW

Orange CMSP&P

Blue CB&Q

[Some comments add that Milwaukee had trackage rights on the CB&Q going South and the Orange going east was the former Chicago, Milwaukee & Gary.]
