Historical Society of Windham County posted two photos with the relevant comment of: "The museum describes the History of the West River Railroad between its opening in 1880 through its closure in 1936. Learn why the railroad had the nickname the 36 miles of trouble. Other highlights include one of the only remaining enclosed water tank house and the opportunity to operate a restored hand car."
