Virginia, IL: Lost/B&O Depot

If you are here because of "Cleveland, OH: NYC Roundhouse and Railyard," then you need to go there.

Stan L. Maddox: It’s still there, although the exterior has been added onto and it looks quite different on the outside. The north-south Jacksonville & Havana ran left-to-right in this photo, near the grain elevator in the distance. The B&O tracks were pulled late fall and early winter of 1979; they were burning ties by early December.

I presume this is the depot, https://maps.app.goo.gl/XCV9WsJ2JimiGoCA9. B&O evidently built a new depot because the one in the photo is north of the tracks, whereas this one was south of the tracks.
Nick Menke: Dennis DeBruler it's the Mexican restaurant now right next to rt 125. Used to be called the depot restaurant.

Thanks for the correction. I see that they retained the bay window for the agent's office. It makes much more sense that it was right next to Main Street. https://maps.app.goo.gl/7WtmG9tacRM4jq9o7
