The Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway Company
posted four images with the comment: "1929. A significant year in BR&P history. The coal tipple at Gainesville was in disrepair, and the railroad decided it had to come down that year. Plans were made with the motive department to modify the mikado tenders to make the run from Rochester to East Salamanca and vice versa on one load of coal. Here is a photo of the tipple, the mikados with the tender additions, a mikado as it appeared at the time of delivery, and a document from the locomotive department supervisor, T.C. Donaldson describing the plans to empty the tipple, and the scheduling of the crewmen working at Gainesville."
