Obviously it was taken at Broad Street Station Richmond, VA pre-Diesel. We are east of the Depot seeing only locomotive fronts. Fortunately, Stephen McIntyre told me, "Its actually four sections of Train 88, the Atlantic Cost Line's 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 in 1927. Since I was in the planetarium field at that time (I just retired from five decades in the field), I was allowed to go in and take some pictures around the facility, including getting a "hard hat" tour of the new planetarium under construction. The lines on the ground by the flagpole, actually was for a large sundial where the flagpole would cast a shadow. I always enjoyed this building, as I remember as a kid, taking the train from NYP to MIA and backing into this station. The smell from the FFV Cookie Factory permeated the air, mixed with the smell of the diesel engines! LOL! Virgil Fitzpatrick: For reference, there's 2 old stations in Richmond. This is the old RF&P/Seaboard station. The C&O Main Street Station is downtown. And there's an old C&O Kanawha here at this one, parked out back. But, unlike the Union Depot in Joliet that is always closed to the public, the public can experience the interior of this building since it is also a science museum.
