Historic 1906 image in Thorndale Pa on the Pennsylvania Railroad, from the Hagley Museum collection. These coal wharfs were built about when the Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch, a low grade freight bypass, was put into service.

There is only one piece of the foundation left and it can be seen from Lincoln Highway in West Caln Township on Lincoln Highway, Rt. 30. The only remaining structure left from the coal wharf is the pump house. The rest was removed last year for a housing development. Here is a pic of the pump house.
