And it is not just cars. This museum is north of Peoria where both Caterpillar and LeTourneau machinery is built.
I can't remember where Best fits into dozer history. Did Holt and Best merge to form Caterpillar? And I wonder what the "Thilman" vehicle in the background is. That is an old-fashioned steering wheel arrangement.
And it is not just wheels and planes.
The steam engine caught my eye.
But the lawn tractor is also significant.
This shows that they do rearrange the displays because the electric lawn tractor has a different "neighbor." In a different photo, I noticed that they also have a John Deere "B" tractor.
Just as I was wondering if they also had an IH tractor, I came across this photo. And then I noticed that this is a third "neighbor" for the lawn tractor.
Judging from the piping, some of these models really work.
And they have some electronics.
The bottom TV is really old.
And they have something designed for the kids and the kid in adults.
