Rick Henry: I think Beck tower is where the B side began (or ended) on the mon line.
Ron Mele: Definitely an interesting track arrangement through the interlocking. I think "BECK" controlled the PRR's access to the yard at J&L's South Side Works.
Ken Taylor: Ron Mele it did and a small yard by the mill.

The tracks closer to the river was the P&LE. I think the tower is the building near the lower-right corner of this extract. Further North is a crossover that allowed the Pennsy to access the P&LE and then there is a rather big railyard by the steel mill. I wonder what he buildings around Arlington Ave. used to store.
