The shops of the "Monon Route" (LNA&C and CI&L) both originally at New Albany, IN (Apr. 1891) and after they moved to Lafayette, IN (Feb. 1899), respectively. LNA&C was rapidly outgrowing their New Albany shops in the 1890s, moving to Lafayette in 1894-1895. (Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps, Library of Congress)
