West Plains, MO: Lost/Frisco Depot

(Satellite, the house track that was north of the depot still exists.)

The boxcars are probably for the grain elevator that was out-of-frame to the left.

Frisco Depot. West Plains, Missouri.

The topo map did not help locate the depot.

Given the angle with the water tower and the proximity to downtown buildings in the background of Jean's photo, I think it was the northern most long rectangle west of Washington Avenue. I included the courthouse square at the bottom of this aerial to help correlate it with today's satellite images.

The feed mill has used the depot's land for expansion and the house track is now used to store MoW equipment.

These are two of the four Purina checkerboard logos that I spotted.

Note the building in the aerial photo that has its front parallel to Washington Avenue while the building itself is parallel to the tracks. That building is extant.
