Elevator: (Satellite)
The fall protector implies that the elevator is rail served, which makes sense because EVWR is a shortline. That is one of the best checkerboard logos that I have seen. The elevator is a "Purina Certified Expert Dealer." [TopAG]
The L&N route is now operated by the Evansville & Western Railway (EVWR).

Andy Zukowski posted Mr. Absher, L&N agent, is with a freight truck at the Depot in Okawville, Illinois, 1955. Brad Craig: That L&N steamer is living on borrowed time. Had to be a no-name local and I would have thought those would have been gone by 55. L&N rounded up all their steam on their St Louis-Evansville line around 55 and took them to the deadline at their E St Louis yard. Ten years later their last St Louis-Evansville no-name coach only train would disappear ending passenger service between those cities. Randy Early shared George C. Brunner: Mainline ends here now. Adam Reyling: The okawville depot name signs, are inside the Riechmanns JD dealer |
