Holgate, OH: (HG) Tower: B&O vs. Nickle Plate

(Satellite, I marked the crossing. According to the aerial photo, the buildings were on the north side of the B&O tracks.)

John Rompala: The Signal and Track guys were in an old depot in Holgate, during the Double Track project. Where did they move them to?

Track jobs were abolished. Signal guy technically works out of Hicksville
Roadmaster job at Defiance is no longer
Electric welding team of two. Is the only track jobs at Defiance
Everything else is out of Garrett.
Cromwell to West Deshler is covered out of Garrett.

Holgate, Ohio, that is where my dad started working as a telegraph operator back in 1955, when he was 18. He was trained by his father and a brother-in-law, who also worked as telegraphers for the B&O RR.
