Terre Haute, IN: Vigo Tower: Pennsy vs. Big Four/EI&TH

(Satellite, NYC was in First Street, and the Pennsy tracks have been moved to use the NYC route through town. I think both routes are now owned by CSX.)

EI&TH = Evansville, Indianapolis & Terre Haute

Charlie DeWeese: Vigo was a PRR Tower, PRR Operators. Terre Haute had eight towers when I was there 1958-1963. PRR had Vigo, Union and Preston, NYC had two, JR (Terre Haute Station) and Duane, Milwaukee had two, Dewey and Spring Hill, and C&EI had one, Haley. I understand that C&EI had two others, Wabash Avenue and Baker, but they disappeared before I got there.

And the Pennsy used to have its own tracks through what is now part of Indiana State University.

The tower was in the northwest quadrant of the crossing of Pennsy and NYC.
