CSX still operates the railroad.

Frank Keller Photography posted I was visiting the small rail museum in Cowan, TN when CSX K443 rolled by headed south towards Waycross, GA. Interesting little museum BTW |

While checking out the
Cumberland Mountain Tunnel marker for the
NC&StL Cowan Tunnel, I noticed that the town still has some Italianate Architecture buildings. The windows along the street have been remodeled, but the side window on the far left looks original. I included the marker in the center front and the museum/depot on the right side. This town exists because of the workers needed to build that 2228' (679m) long tunnel from 1848 to 1852.
