"Ellwood Engineered Castings located in Hubbard, Ohio, produces gray iron castings up to 160 tons and ductile iron castings up to 60 tons in weight. Our melt shop consists of three, 55-ton coreless induction furnaces, efficiently produce accurate iron chemistries to customer specification....EECs major product is ingot molds used by specialty steel and alloy producers for teeming ingots."

Rick Rowlands posted eight photos with the comment: "Here in my hometown of Hubbard, OH is Ellwood Engineering Castings which started out in 1927 as Valley Mould & Iron Co.  At one time the largest ingot mold foundry in the world, it was fed with iron from the Youngstown Sheet & Tube's Hubbard blast furnaces until they went out of blast and then by hot metal runs from Republic Steel in Youngstown.   I worked for EEC from 1998-2001 as a small coremaker and relief locomotive operator."
