Chris Greider: Marion 7400's. They have another one working @ Nokomis, Il.
[Other comments indicate that all three are operational. And other comments describe from where some of these draglines were moved.]
Nick Stork: They own (4) 7400s. One is being replaced with a 736 Page. What would you like to know? I deal with all their draglines. [I don't know where the fourth one is located.]

So stripmining is used for limestone as well as coal and creates land tattoos. In fact, there may now be more draglines uncovering limestone than coal in Illinois.

Lucibello Heavy Equipment photography posted three photos with the comment: "Marion 7400 digging at a sand and gravel operation outside of Chicago. The traditional truck and excavator stripping combo is employed to get down to the water table. After that the 7400 digs out the remaining from below the waterline."
