Cecil, OH: Wabash Depot and Junction Tower: Wabash vs. Big Four

Mitch Mitchell posted
Cecil Oh. Wabash RR Depot & Tower. The Depot was removed during the early 1950's
The east/west line was the Wabash line and it is now a new shortline. The north/south route was Big Four.

The Big Four did not cross the Maumee River until quite a ways further northwest. Look at how many logs one pier can jam up.

From a sharing of the posting:
Jim Etchie Cecil Ohio back in the early nineteen-hundreds was a bustling community with the north - east, south-west Wabash, crossing the north-south Cincinnati Northern! Today not too much there🙁
Update: Jim Etchie posted two photos with the comment: "Vintage photos of the Cincinnati Northern Railroad & the Wabash diamonds and Depots at Cecil Ohio in Paulding County....."

Update:
Mike Snow posted
Napoleon Defianace & Western just south of Cecil OH, on the former Cincinnati Northern Railroad. In the background is the Lafarge Paulding OH, facility and a customer of the ND&W with inbound fuel and outbound loads of cement. The former CN has been used lately more as a holding track. ND&W 3054 & Gettysburg 105 pulling a cut of cars off the former CN line and just south of the US24 overpass.
