The treeline to the north in the satellite image would have been where the Monon ran next to the MC into town.

James Boudreaux posted Michigan City...Date,photographer unknown Ken Durkel: Looks like it was shot from 10th St. Tower. The two tracks to our right are the Michigan Central, which was single tracked in the early 1960s, and today is owned by Amtrak from Porter, Indiana into Michigan. The track crossing from left to right is the South Shore. Train is northbound. |
