Shelocta, PA: 1967-2028 1.9gw Keystone Power Plant

They built a spur from a junction with the B&O Railroad.

"The cost of the EPA’s [wastewater] rule would not be as large of a concern for the plants if it weren’t for the threat of [Pennsylvania Governor] Wolf’s insistence on joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative this year, Baker said. The EPA has decided that the company's wastewater "solution" is not good enough so the plant may have to close before 2028. For example, they have yet to install a groundwater monitoring system.  [PennCapital-Star] Making changes now when it is going to retire in 2028 because of even more restrictive wastewater regulations would probably strand even more assets.
