The town also still has the old grain elevator that is north of the CB&Q depot.

Wesley Peters posted Ryan & Harty Elevator, Wyoming, IL, 1898. Built in 1895. No contractor mentioned. 45,000-bushel capacity. By 1899 a single long crib existed on the property increasing the capacity of the complex by 20,000-bushels for a total bushel-capacity of 65,000. Today this 128-year-old elevator is still standing in Wyoming and is well maintained. It is believed to be the oldest of the three remaining grain elevators in Stark County.
