Joliet, IL: View from a Westbound IAIS Train

Steven J. Brown posted some pictures of trackside features taken from the cab of a westbound IAIS Paducah GP8 7979 in March, 1986 with the comment:

Joliet Towers and Metra construction from a passing Iowa Interstate train on the former Rock Island in March 1986. EJ&E Rock Island Tower, Michigan Central MC Tower, Metra Joliet Coach Yard under construction and then approaching and passing UD Tower and Joliet Union Station showing the platform and track construction in advance of removal of 2 mains and diamonds. Taken from the cab of IAIS Paducah GP8 7979.
