 I swear the building furthest west (not in pic) had a satellite dish mounted on it.

Abandoned coal-fired Prairie Oil & Gas Company oil pumping station, along the BNSF Transcon, the pipeline ran from Kansas to Griffith, Indiana. Prairie Oil & Gas Company was acquired by Sinclair Oil in 1932. Kernan, La Salle County, Illinois.

  1. great pictures, how did it get its name? went to mail my Christmas cards about 40 years ago thinking I have a post office mark from KERNAN ILL, only to find out they didn't have a post office had to go to Streator ill. d.kernan
