Shell Rock, IA: ethanol plant is doubling storage using ground storage

Flint Hills Resources
Flint Hill Resources in Shell Rock has 2mb of storage and is going to build a ground pile that will add 2.4mb. The pile will have a dedicated receiving pit to shorten wait times for the truckers during the harvest season. (Courier)

Flint Hills Resources is one of the Koch brothers oil companies that were suggested as possible buyers for two big ADM dry-process plants. (ADM wants to sell some ethanol assets)

The town was served by the Rock Island, so I don't know who owns the railroad now.

While looking for this plant, I found an elevator that is building a ground pile facility. What struck me as strange is that it has no rail service and yet it does not look like a local feed
mill operation.
