Eric Ramsey The Postcard s picture was taken about a mile north or old Rt 14 the Mine was off of majestic Mine road the state was in there last year doing reclamation cleaning the remains of the mine up and the way the bird flys I live a half a mile north west of the mine and I can look out my back door and see where the old railroad bed use to head off to the north to the manic line

Fortunately, it was a big mine so its index numbers have enough room to be visible. It was most of the pink blob on the right side of this map excerpt.

In the upper-left corner of the satellite image above, you can see the treeline where the IC branch went Northwest from a curve to the South. The two pools of water were literally on the map by 1935.
