Elmhurst, IL: IC Depot

(Satellite, as is rather typical, the land is now part of a parking lot.)

I normally don't note depots in Chicagoland because commuter service has preserved the location, if not the building, of most of them. But that is not true for ICwest.

Christopher J Elonich: Train is westbound in a really great photo! The Station is long gone, as is the old freight station. There used to be a switch at York Street that took trains to a bulk oil plant (west of York). If one was to try to sheet this same scene, today, most of the pix would be the back side of a strip mall. Sigh!
