Coal Miners: (Satellite)
Across the tracks from the depot is the Coal Miners Memorial Park. There were a lot of coal mines in the area. I've written notes for Orient #1 & #2, Industrial Mine #18 & #11+#19, Old Ben #8 and Old Ben #9.
The north/south C&EI route through town is their mainline. The other railroad routes are branches of the IC, MoPac and CB&Q to serve the many coal mines that were in this area. Note that those branches have yards because of all of the local railroad action. This map does mark the location of the C&EI depot.
