Robinson, IL: Big Four (Egyptian) Depot

Ken Pryor -> RAILROAD HISTORY BUFFS OF ILLINOIS
Ken's comment:
This is the old NYC depot in Robinson. It is now the VFW Veterans museum. The signals are turned sideways to Main St, now. The line ran north and south through Crawford County and was the old NYC Egyptian Line as I understand it.
(Street View) Looking at my 1928 Railroad Atlas, this NYC line was from the Big Four. The line ran south to Mount  Carmel and then southwest through Grayville to Cairo. It ran north to Danville where NYC had another route into the Chicago area. The fact that its southern terminal was Cairo is probably why it was called the Egyptian Line.

I wonder if the brown building a block to the north was the freight house. Google doesn't have any street views in this area. So I can't confirm that the lighter roof covers a two story building and the rest is one story.
