Interurban Depot in Fithian, Illinois.
Constructed in 1913 as a Depot and electric substation for the Illinois Terminal System (known after 1937 as the Illinois Terminal Railroad), this is one of the few remaining Interurban depots to be found on the Illinois prairie.
The interurban line ran three-car trains between Springfield and Danville, and was the only interurban line in the country operating sleeping cars. The structure is now a private residence.
Interurban service on the TR was reduced after WWIl, and ended altogether in 1956. (The ITR's freight operations continued until 1982, when it was absorbed by the Norfolk & Western Railroad.)

The IT tracks were between the Big Four/Peoria & Eastern tracks and the road.
