The wheelhouse of the Benson Ford has been preserved on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. But this is another preservation effort.

| Chuck Zentmeyer posted Pit stop on the way home from the Soo gave us the opportunity to see this and meet with the owners. They graciously showed us around. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Glenda Jill shared Alan Wooller: They cut the bow off up at the Purvis scrap yard and barged it down. I remember seeing it when it was just shimmed in place before they cleaned it all up and secured it. They definitely did a wonderful job! |
