You don't see too many one story junction "towers." Note what looks like a "union station" behind it. When someone pointed out the flag for the "Flag Signal," Ben Planck responded:
That is a yellow flag, CH. On NKP it means train order must be picked up here. It was called "aspect "B".
So I presume that means the track in the left foreground is the Nickle Plate and the track in the right foreground is the Grand Trunk Western. The Nickle Plate is the same branch line that goes through
Walkerton, IN.
When I looked at the junction on a satellite image, I was surprised to see a train on this NS branch. A 1969 aerial photo indicates the tower+depot was on the north side of the diamond.
I tried to use
http://www.historicaerials.com/ to determine which quadrant the buildings were in, but it was too unresponsive to use.
