Athens, IL: Heidelberg Materials/Hanson Aggregates Quarry and Page 736 Dragline

(Satellite)

Heidelberg Materials bought Hanson Aggregates. [patch]
They are strip mining limestone.

Their was a dragline named Prairie Rose in the Falkirk Coal Mine in North Dakota. However, according to some Facebook comments, this Prairie Rose came from the Sheerness coal mine near Hanna, AB. The notes on the Sheerness mine has several more photos of this dragline..

Nick Stork posted five photos with the comment: "I may be partial but I think this is one good looking machine. Page 736 #410. It came from Hannah, Alberta Canada."

Dennis DeBruler commented on Nick's post
It looks like they already have a dragline. Is it being replaced or are they increasing their production of limestone?

Nick Stork: Dennis DeBruler they are replacing the 7400. It will either be moved to another of their sites or used for parts to keep their other 3 going.
