Bunge Milling at Atchison KS
Frank Mueseler I worked this section when I was with MoPac RR , at that time it was called Lincoln Grain and they made corn meal.

Ken's posting taught me that Bunge processes corn as well as soybeans. And of course the size of the plant got my attention. They still mill corn; they are one of five corn milling locations.

Looking at a UP map, they kept the part of MoPac that served this plant.

While looking for this facility, I found some other plants that are probably part of the food industry: MGP IngredientsBartlett Grain and Blair Milling.

Adjacent to the Santa Fe Depot, the Atchison, KS Rail Museum features an outdoor collection of rail cars and is available for exterior viewing throughout the year. Here is a string of former Burlington passenger cars and baggage car seen in 1995.

The building that William called the depot was actually the freight house. The depot was closer to the river.
