Santa Fe and/or MoPac: (
Satellite, the land has been repurposed. It was at the end of 3rd Street.)
Santa Fe's freight house is extant.
CB&Q Depot
The CB&Q came from the north along the river. And may from the east across the bridge.

Santa Fe and/or MoPac Depot
Marty identifies the building as Santa Fe, but Art identifies it as MoPac. Was it shared? They did share the
bridge that is just east of here.

Marty Bernard posted ATSF Depot in Atchison, KS circa 1980. Alfred Teitl photo (maybe), Iowa Chapter NRHS collection |
By habit, I started with the oldest aerial I could find that had decent resolution. When I could not find it, it occurred to me that the architecture of the building looked like the 1960s. Since Marty's photo indicates the depot was still standing in 1980, I got the above 1977 aerial. Knowing where to look, the 1947 aerial shows a much larger depot.
