No, Belmont was further north on the Southern. That is why there are still tracks going through the town. 1956/1967 Vincennes Quad @ 250,000

Cairo & Vincennes was the route going Southwest from Mt. Carmel to Grayville. But Belmont, IL, is on the Southern route going West from Mt. Carmel to Browns. The C&V route became part of the Big Four, which became part of the NYC. It is now abandoned. The Southern route is now part of Norfolk Southern.

No street view driver has gone into this town. So I can't get any views of the grain elevator. Even though it is pretty big, the Class I railroad NS doesn't serve it.
